Emily is a young interdisciplinary researcher, specializing in environmental monitoring. She focuses on the development and utilization of sensing technologies, from nano-sensors to satellite remote sensing. In her current work, she is exploring the status of environmental challenges associated with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, on both local and global scales. She is also engaged in developing sustainable green solutions by employing advanced technologies, including machine learning and nanotechnology.
Emily began conducting scientific research at the age of 15, working on the development of sensors for online detection of water pollution. For her work, she received top prizes in national and international competitions, including the Stockholm Junior Water Prize. Over the years, she has worked in biology, chemistry, physics and geoscience labs.
Emily is passionate about promoting STEM education, especially among girls. She has collaborated with both industry and academia to develop and implement educational tools and programs tailored to teenagers.
For her achievements, Emily was selected as a one of top 25 global high potentials in sustainable development by the German government and to the Forbes 30Under30 list in Israel. In 2019, she was selected as one of the 40 most promising young people in Israel by Globes Magazine.
