Matthew Hoar joined Flow as Chief Financial Officer in March 2016.  In this position, Matthew was responsible for the overall risk profile, financial strategy, and direction of Flow.  While Flow’s Canadian headquarters are in Toronto and US headquarters in LA, Matthew managed the global finance team of seven from the Byward Market in Ottawa.  In February 2020 Matthew was appointed as Flow’s first Chief Investment Officer, a position that he holds today.

Matthew is a Deloitte trained CPA, CA who spent over 10 years in public accounting, manufacturing, and real estate before joining Flow.  Since his time at Deloitte, Matthew has led multiple equity and debt financings and has raised in excess of $150M to fund his respective companies.  Matthew has established a reputation at Flow for aligning financial and sustainability metrics to support building a world-class B-Corp organization.
